Badass Babes Dance is an all adult dance training company that is built on the foundation of empowering, inspiring and educating performers of all skill levels, body-types and backgrounds. In a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment we priortize educating our Babes on the physical, mental and emotional benefits of dance through fun and energetic ways. As instructors we also LEAD by example, and this is a very important criteria to us for our future Babe leaders.

Today we are looking for committed and reliable instructors to start as soon as April 2025!

Aside from the teaching experience, here are a few criteria we look for in our instructors:

Femme-presenting, mature, optomistic & organized, community-driven, hungry to learn, excited to teach, healthy personal habits, kind and confident leadership skills, effective communicator, and always ready to DANCE! ;)

Programs typically run for 10 - 12 weeks, with shorter 4-8 week additional programs within that time frame. (see schedule section below) We also have a live show at the end of our programs where teachers are involved in the process, and also have the option to perform themselves! They are THE MOST fun!

We ask that applicants only submit if they are wanting to commit to at least 1 year (approx. 3 - 4 seasons), as we pour a lot of training and knowledge into our teacher and want to see them grow with us!

If you have possible scheduling conflicts, pre-booked trips, or any uncertainties about the commitment or schedule, we are ALWAYS open to chatting so please bring your questions to the table and let's see what we can do!

STYLES WE TYPICALLY OFFER:

Hip-Hop, Jazz-Funk, Heels, Contemporary, Burlesque, Technique & Foundations, and Sexy Skills 101.

"Sexy Skills 101" is a skills only class that was created to help dancers uncover, and embody their own versions of SEXY. This is not a choreography class, and heels are optional.

"Technique & Foundations" are skills only classes where the style changes weekly so that dancers receive training in a multitude of styles that all benefit each other.

THE HIRING PROCESS:

Step 1: You submit your awesome package!

Step 2: We contact you to let you know we received your application, and those we feel fit our requirements will receive an invite for Step 3.

Step 3: A 1:1 Zoom call will be set up with our directors, and further details of the contract, our programs, teacher training, commitment expectations, rates & more will be discussed! This is where you can also ask all of the questions you have!
If at any point you feel the position is not feeling like a fit, no hard feelings! You can let us know at that time, or email us after the call.

Step 4: You will receive an email from us within 7 days of the call. For those who we feel may be a fit, you will be invited to teach a live 30 minute class in-studio with other potential teachers, and additional information will be provided at this time.

For the right candidate, we have adjusted some program times/days to accommodate teacher schedules, so please be sure to share all of your availability with us even if it does not fully align with our current schedule.

For Vancouver sessions: These are scheduled case by case, depending on the teacher and demand.

FEBRUARY MONDAYS: 4 WEEK SESSION in Vancouver

7pm - 9pm Intermediate Multi-Styles
*this was a new small group training session we did this season where we had different training exercises, combos and styles each week.

MARCH MONDAYS: 4 WEEK PERFORMANCE PROGRAM in Vancouver

7pm - 9pm Intermediate Multi-Style
*this is new as well and this group has 2 choreography pieces for our company showcase.

WEDNESDAYS: 10 WEEK PERFORMANCE PROGRAMS

7pm - 8pm Beginner Jazz-Funk

815pm - 915pm Beginner Heels

930pm - 1030pm Introduction to Intermediate Heels & Jazz-funk
*both styles are taught in this advanced level class

THURSDAYS: 10 WEEK PERFORMANCE PROGRAMS

7pm - 8pm Beginner Hip-Hop

815pm - 915pm Beginner Chairography
*majority of this style is done with a chair
*heels optional but typically dancers choose heels

SUNDAYS: 8 WEEK PROGRAMS
Dancers save money by registering for all 8 classes but can do a drop-in option too. These classes include training in different styles of dance each week that all correlate with one another. Hip-Hop, jazz-funk, jazz, ballet, heels etc.
